Dear Friends,

A heartfelt welcome to our restaurant Agora! I am very happy that you are considering visiting us during your stay in Symi.

My philosophy is to elevate Greek cuisine using fresh seasonal ingredients and local produce. We also work to minimise waste and use sustainable ingredients whenever possible, given the fragile ecosystems in the Aegean Islands.

My culinary inspiration came from my grandfather, who was also a chef and taught me traditional recipes from an early age. I still use his briam recipe in my cooking today!

I lead an expert team of young, talented chefs with a passion for creative twists on traditional Greek food.

While Symi’s terrain doesn’t look like it offers much produce, we go foraging twice a week for herbs and flowers to enhance our dishes. We work with local farmers, fishermen, cheese makers and wine growers to source quality ingredients.

Please join us for a memorable summer evening on our beautiful chef’s terrace, where you can experience refined dining, philoxenia and views across Symi harbour. We also serve guests on the romantic garden terrace adjacent to the main restaurant.

I look forward to meeting you soon,

Chris Sidiropolous
