The Old Markets, a beloved boutique hotel in Symi since 2011, has garnered numerous awards and gained recognition as a prominent destination hotel in Greece.
The Old Markets, formerly known as Agora, served as a bustling meeting place hosting various trades within its array of shops. Situated in a conservation area where every structure is safeguarded, the setting presents a picturesque amphitheatre enveloped by the infinite blues of the Aegean sky and sea.
Preserving the essence of the Agora building, meticulous restoration and repair work has been undertaken, transforming the shop units into spacious rooms while retaining the original charm. Additionally, the adjacent Captain's Mansion, a classic Symi mansion, underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2016, offering refined rooms, some featuring painted ceilings and balconies with captivating views of the harbour.
Agora Restaurant is situated on the hotel terrace in beautiful gardens, overlooking the famous harbour of Symi, Dodecanese.
Book your “stay and dine” at Old Markets and enjoy modern Greek cuisine from one of Greece’s leading young chefs. A roux scholarship finalist and as previous head chef in Michelin star restaurants... it goes without saying, the food is incredible! A relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, philosophy and seriously great wines, led by Chris and owners Graham and Andy, makes for a really special memorable event.
